MYSTICAL ARTIST ANGELA JAYNE BARNETT

NOVEMBER
Moon of Storms
Dark Moon
Snow Moon

"O WILD West Wind, thou breath of Autumn's being—
Thou from whose unseen presence the leaves dead
Are driven, like ghosts from an enchanter fleeing,
Yellow, and black, and pale, and hectic red,
Pestilence-stricken multitudes!—O thou
Who chariotest to their dark wintry bed"

~ From Ode to the West Wind by
Percy Bysshe Shelley

Two months ago, I discovered (on another blog) an image with beautiful art and information about the September Moon. I used this image on my blog, but at the time, I didn't know the artist's name. I have now discovered that she is Angela Jayne Barnett, also known as Arwen's Grace, and that the image was created for her Celtic Luna Calendar.

Today I present you with the Celtic Luna November calendar page. In checking out this calendar, I discovered many, many more pieces of art from this extremely talented mystical Scottish/Celtic artist. I thought I'd share more images from her collection of digital art (she also creates gorgeous photographs of English, Scottish, Cornish and Welsh landscapes).

"Watchtower"
(The inspiration for the November calendar page).

"Chalice Well"
(Based on the famous Chalice Well
at Glastonbury, England)

"The Chapel in the Woods"

"The Clansman"

"The Emerald Forest"

"The Fairy Glen"

"Hedge Witch"

"Highlanders"

"The Magic Door"

"Evening Falls"
(to round out the images with another owl!)

I have so often been drawn to these images when I have run across them on the Internet, without knowing they were done by one artist (they were unattributed, bah!). They just spoke to my Celtic roots so deeply and so innately.

Angela's work has been described as "somewhere between enhanced reality and angelic fantasy". Her photography work has appeared in several books and magazines, and her artworks have been used in book and CD cover design as well as theatre posters and advertisements.

To learn more about Angela, in her own words, go to this link:
http://www.celtic-photography.co.uk/page4527.html.

I am thrilled to learn that you can purchase future Angela Jayne Barnett calendars. For information on buying the Celtic Luna calendar, The Goddess calendar and The Magic and Moonlight calendar, click on this link:

Angela will design a "bespoke" calendar at no additional cost. (I had not known of the word "bespoke" until recently. I believe it is British in usage. It means "made to order", meaning she will make you a calendar out of any of her images! How cool is that?

You can also order posters of her art on several different websites, including Deviant Art (deviantart.com). Or, just Google her name for other sites.

This is wonderful - thank you! I've gone straight off and bought a calendar.
Some of the photos are of the Brecon Beacons, which are local to me.
