Me, tonight, at supper:
"I swear, Dan, if you don't get the back yard seeded with grass this spring, I am going to move out and you and the dogs can live here in this house with all this mud."
His response: "It does need to be done."
Does that sound like a promise to you???
And don't any of you look at me with those earnest, pleading faces.
Sounds like a step in the right direction at least:) Those are lovely photos of Dan and the dogs. Glad you are feeling calmer and happier again, I get days like you described when I feel restless and can't settle to anything, it's very irritating because you know there are lots of things you could and should be doing. Love that picture of the Valkyrie on your sidebar and the Helen Allingham paintings too. I love her paintings.
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous dogs. But mud and dogs do surely make for a mess LOL Hope you get your grass seed in. Mud seems a long way away here yet.

Good-luck with that one, Julie! LOL! (Nice looking couch potatoes there!)
ReplyDeleteAwww! Poor Dan, he's getting the same lecture I'm giving to Bob, minus doggies! Only thing is, we reseed in the Fall here but because there was no rain and now a total ban on watering, we will be struggling to see any new grass this Spring!
ReplyDeleteHope you're doing OK Julie!
Sounds like my hubby! But who can resist those big, beautiful eyes....on the dog!
ReplyDeleteI thoroughly enjoyed the previous post about the chinook winds. When we lived in CO we experienced them but now out here in CA we have the Santa Ana winds. They can be quite fierce, too.
Very funny! My ultimatums don't carry as much weight as they used to because I'm too lazy to move!!!
ReplyDeleteYour hubby is cute! Is he laid back like mine?
Hey, I deleted the previous Limerick and inserted your wonderful new one. You might want to sneak back and look at my first post. I have listed what the prize is going to be. So far, you are a key contender.
Hugs, KJ
That's right, you tell 'em!! hehe I don't blame you for wanting grass to be seeded...mud being brought in the house by two dogs would drive me batty! xox
ReplyDeleteCute and huggable pix!!! (yours are looking impish too)LOL
ReplyDeleteHope you get your lawn seeded soon.
:-)
I say skip the seed and go right to SOD....ha! I am all about the green grass and the SOONER the better.
ReplyDeleteEspecially when there is MUD and pets involved. I need a bit around the edges of my patio in a couple of spots as well, that tend to get muddy.
Maybe you all could find some "cheap" somewhere? Not sure about that up there but we can find it very reasonable here.
If not....throw the seed out there and since you have the dogs you better cover it with some straw??? I think we did that when we lived up north.
That definitely sounds like a promise to me! ;0)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kelli
What handsome dogs and Dan's not too bad either. LOL Here's to grass in the spring.
ReplyDeleteI am sure this was a node in the right direction. My Arney must get tired of me asking for things to get done...mostly he say, I will get to it soon. In other words, leave it alone.
ReplyDeleteI looked at all your good stuff last night, you have a truly wonderful blog. I hope you won't mind if I return.
LOL
ReplyDeleteCarmen
p.s. Dan move!!!
LOL
What a great post and those dogs!!
ReplyDeleteKeep me posted on the grass :O)
You knew I'd love your dogs.
